The Rossogolla Murders, tittle caught my attention. I was so curious about this murder mystery. This would be my first murder mystery genre that I have read and oh boy already started to love it. As the tittle goes, The Rossogolla Murders, murders are all related to the sweet in an interesting way.
How it started:
It all started when Dolly visits Kolkatha with her husband who has been transferred here. While she was in a mall, she happens to bump onto an old lost friend Mrinalini who was on a holiday to her home town, Kolkatha.
The start was all good catching up with an old friend and she invites her to a party of Sanju bhaiya’s 10th anniversary of his shop, The Sweet Affair selling high end and sweets with a twist. The murderer used Rossogolla’s to poison people.
An attempt to clear their names with the murders that are happening, these two ladies go on a detective mode and try to conclude the mystery themselves. Loved how they started working on it. every time, a step ahead from the police.
Interesting chapter:
In the chapter, “Another Victim” it all starts to unwind and the plot is unexpected. How these two girls were determined to get to the end of it and how they ended up on an edge of having killed. All of this, unfolds in this chapter.
What I like:
A story with a message!! Usually, it is rare that we find a murder mystery gives a message. But this does! I don’t want to be a spoil sport but, message here was about “bullying” Lines from the last pages of the book, “Bullies leave a lifelong mark. They destroy lives and that don’t even realize the consequences of their action”
I feel this is a serious issue that needs to be spoken. We hear in the news every now and then about students committing suicides because of being bullied. Well, this might carry a life long mark and mental stress and fear about not being accepted.
