The pressure of earning a little more, Me too. Short stories on mental health of a man how makes little less than what his family wants him to earn.
The pressure of earning is a me-too moment
“I am 43-year-old, have a wife and 2 sons. Making them study higher is my only aim. All I wanted is a loving family and understanding wife.” Is this a lot to wish for? Is this unrealistic? Is money the only thing? Why is society so judgmental?
Wife, someone who should understand that earning takes much effort and making kids study is expensive in todays world. Even though I would keep all my needs a side just to provide enough for my wife and kids. The society has something to say. There was a time that I almost ended my life.
“I might have less money to give them minimum luxury but a whole heart to love them and provide them for basic needs. But I am always glad that my family is always by my side and love me more for all the hard work and contribution I do.
Society on other hand, pokes, insults and recognizes on how much I earn. Yes, I earn less and by the end of every month we struggle to keep up with the needs. I and my wife sometimes eat just 1 meal just as to provide for kids as they are studying and needed energy for growing kids.
My kids sometimes, contribute to the family income and my wife too. is it not God’s gift to get such an understanding family? Who be beside you no matter what the society would say? Family got me out of this depression and love among us became even more stronger.
This is a simple fiction story about how small things matters for Mental Health. How family comes to rescue us from being further drowning into depression.
In this series, I would write about more such fiction stories in which small elements would help the character into a better state of mind.
