It was when I felt found. Short stories on mental health is a story of Radha a rape survivor let us see what she got us to read.

“I was 16, studying in class 10 returning home from school. I was kidnaped by unidentified men in a car who dragged me into the car. While I was screaming at top of my voice, no one heard me. It was a busy afternoon, thought”

I was raped almost every day for 15 days sometimes 4 – 5 men at the same time. I was in such pain. I begged them to let me go. If I resist, they used to hit me hard and gave me cigar burns. Throw me over the wall. I even went without food for 3 days straight.

It was finally after 15 days of those horrible days; I was rescued by police with the help of CCTV and other witnesses. It took a lot of time for me to get back to normal. It was not easy for me as well as my parents.

I was still 16, I have raised from my grief and started to voice to the voiceless. I used social media to spread awareness of this. Yes, I was still in school but I wanted to be a part of the awareness team and so got in touch with an organization.

With many amazing activists, I too was a member and dedicated time and energy to talk to many other survivors who are still not able to come out of the horrible memories.

It was when I felt found. It was when I felt alive again. Advocating and campaigning for those who have suffered like me.

This is a simple fiction story about how small things matters for Mental Health. How standing up for yourself and others comes to rescue us from being further drowning in depression.

In this series, I would write about more such fiction stories in which small elements would help the character into a better state of mind.
